The 2012 Class of Leadership Tampa Bay is hosting a FREE one of a kind event along the banks of the Hillsborough River to benefit Voices for Children of Tampa Bay. On December 8th, from 6pm-9pm, 10,000 illuminated 3” river lights, representing children in need of Ad Litem representation in our own community, will be released into the Hillsborough River. Travelling the Hillsborough River from their starting point just north of Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, to their collection point at MacDill Park, the glowing river lights will transform Curtis Hixon into a spectacular destination for a night of food, music and fun.
Voices for Children of Tampa Bay, a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the Guardian ad Litem program (a partnership of community advocates and professional staff providing a voice on behalf of Florida’s abused and neglected children). The goal of Voices for Children is to provide financial and volunteer support for the nearly 2,000 abused, neglected and abandoned children of Hillsborough County. At present, the program is only able to support 57% of the children.
We invite you to be a part of this special, family-friendly FREE event, sure to be covered by all facets of the local media. There are multiple corporate sponsorship levels available, including, Title and Presenting sponsorship opportunities. Please contact us soon to discuss your best opportunity to help Voices for Children and to have your company well represented at this festive occasion.
In addition to corporate sponsorship, illuminated river lights will be available for purchase for $5 each. Each river light purchase is a chance to win great prizes. Individual tickets to the exclusive Curtis Hixon Park VIP Tent, which can potentially be named for your donation, are also sold in advance! VIP tickets can be purchased for $75 each, or $100 the day of the event. The VIP Tent will include open bar and food, table service and reserved seating.
On the evening of the event, each light will represent a child helped within the Voices for Children of Tampa Bay. Help Leadership Tampa Bay light the way towards a brighter future for the children of our region. Your donation makes a huge difference!
